BMW X 4

I recently purchased a 151 X4 M Sport 2.0 X Drive (Auto) ... I am beginning to notice less than satisfactory gear transition in comfort mode from a standing start. The engine seems labour too much and there is a obvious resistance / palpable feel of the accelerator pedal. This is my first automatic BMW and I am not used of the drive feel of an auto, but this is obviously not right for a car of this quality. I have also noticed a significant amount of heat coming off the gear area .. central transmission console. Being a complete novice I would appreciate any guidance and advice. I no longer have a BMW Warranty but I do have a 3rd party with MAPFRE WARRANTY. I have already spoken with the dealer and they seems a little defensive. They said that they would run diagnostics on the car and take it from there. What kind of questions do I need to ask them ? Do I need to get a diagnostic report from them ? Any tips or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Possible calliper seized try for excessive heat around wheels/brakes.

    Possible transmission issue.

Definitely worth getting it checked if it's not right.

I'm sure there was some form of dealer warranty offered with the car if you only bought it recently. I'd be expecting at least 6 months if not 12 on a 2015 car.

Oh by the way the torque converter is in the gearbox. From what u describe sounds very like it.

I can’t guarantee this will work on your car but the auto box may have adapted to the previous owners driving style. It can be reset using a similar method to the below or some variation of it.
