    Hi all
I’m seriously considering getting a new model (from 2015 on) Opel Astra. I’ve checked out some “real world” mpg figures on various sites like Parker’s and honest John, and the Astra seems to be a class leader in this department.
The model I’m looking at is the 1.6 citizen 110ps with start stop. This model shows a real world mpg figure of 62 mpg (the advertised is 83.1 85.6 mpg). Does anyone else have one of these and what sort of mpg are they getting? How do they find the comfort etc.
    I’m doing about 15-20k Kms a year.
    Thanks for all the help.

    Thanks!
I don’t see the 110 ecoflex version which is supposed to be the most frugal in the range. Anyone got any feedback on that version?

I do similar to your annual mileage. I don't think it really matters if a model makes 50 or 60 mpg cost wise comparing to depreciation. Pick something you will enjoy and satisfies your non-fun requirements.

Edit: If you are really after a frugal and reliable diesel engine, hard to beat renault 1.5 dci.
