I collect my Job seekers benefit on Wednesday but can't make it until Friday next week, will it be still there? I have read that its held for three days. I've asked in the post office but they were reluctant to say yes or no. Has anyone any recent experience on this?

In my experience it is what it says, only for three days unfortunately so try your best to pick it up

It stays in the post office for 3 days and is then returned to SW. It can take 4-6 weeks to make its way back.

    Why can't OP pick up?
If away on hols you should let them know in advance by filling out a holiday form. They will hold payment and arrange a double week.

The easiest thing for you to do is fill up a holiday form in SW to say your not available for work. You can have 10 days per year. Your payment will be there when you get back.
As already pointed out, your Jobseekers is only available for you to pick up in the PO for 3 days for obvious reasons.
