Kidney stone

    Yet another kidney stone thread.
I got a stone in early January. 9mm and it dropped into my urethra and got stuck, cue agony and all that.
I had a jj stent put the next day and was told I'd be called for a blasting..
First blasting was two weeks ago as I ended up back in A&E in March in agony again so they pushed my blasting forward ( I think they are panicking about the length of time the stent has been in), second blasting was last week and my third is this coming Monday.
After that they are hoping to take the stent out..
And that's why I'm writing this, I'm just really curious/worried about what that feels like and what to expect?
I was under when it went in but I know I'll be awake when they take it out...

Just looking for anyone with experience...

I would be insisting on some kind of sedation for the removal. I had 2 jj.s couple of years ago. Under sedation for insertion and removal.

Ya I had a general for the insertion but have been told that for removal it might just be a numbing cream.
Had another blasting today and they think they have most of it done. I'm back in Friday and hoping the stent will be taken out then.
Can try and get back to some normality then.
