Craogh Patrick is probably as close as anything to a Mount Fuji based on the number of foreign tourists who have heard of it. That or the Cliffs of Moher.

AS for the other two?! They don't even exist to Irish people!

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

    What is Irelands Coachella?

Féile (The Trip to Tipp) or Lark in the Park, probably.

    Coachella...hardly of note to most.
Posh and Becks...,.hopefully we're not that shallow.
Fuji....Cliff of Moher, Skelligs, lots of natural features that tourist cone to see.

What is Irelands Coachella? The Easter Rising commemorations in Arbour Hill every Easter weekend.

Who is Irelands posh and becks? Michael Collins & Kitty Kiernan.

Is the sugar loaf our Mount fuji? No, The GPO is our Mount Fuji but it’s even better than just a mountain.

Electric Picnic I suppose would be the equivalent of Coachella given that both events are portrayed as music festivals, but neither are actually about music at all.

Ireland's Posh and Becks? I suppose that'd be Pippa O' Connor and Brian Ormond, given that neither couple are particularly relevant to the general public.

And I suppose Carrauntoohil* would be the equivalent of Mount Fuji.

*I don't remember it being spelled like that in 2nd class geography class, but I'll go with that.

Féile (The Trip to Tipp) or Lark in the Park, probably.

One of the problems with a large Irish festival is the logistics. With the exception of Glastonbury, most of the big European ones are quite central making it easier to get to on a budget - especially when they involve camping.

Why does there need to be a cultural equivalent? Ireland has it's own culture.

I think this is the basis of the OP's question: what specific aspects of Irish culture (popular and traditional) are known abroad?

Our constitution has been the subject of quite a bit of study in nations gaining independence. But I digress.

I saw it as trying to say The Irish Posh and Becks are..., The Irish Blitz was..., Ireland's Winston Churchill was*... I'll defer to your interpretation though as it doesn't piss me off.

*Well Winston Churchill but you get the picture.

BOD and his wife are definitely our P&B...if you ever check out the Independent website.

    No idea who Coachella is.

Unless you're a rugby fan, few people outside Ireland know who Brian O'Driscoll is. Even fewer know who is wife is. And even fewer again check out the Indpendent website!

Guinness, 'special' illegal immigrants. Literature. Oddly enough the child porn severity index was come up with by UCC.

Their profile outside Ireland isn't the point, surely.
The parallels between the couples are: he gained fame through sport; she's acknowledged as having found fame in a different field of endeavour; the media absolutely adore the fact that such attractive & famous people have built lives together. (I'd argue that Bod & Amy are less fame-hungry than Posh & Beck's, and that the comparisons end there.)

    Headshot.

I'm going on the basis that he specifically says "abroad" in the title, but it could do with some clarification.

Do we care what outsiders think?

    Keep it local for locals

Coachella is the epitomization of vacuous, self-absorbed, hypocritical, ignorant, greedy, shallow and pampered US top 1% excess; and it appropriately takes place in the land of soulless, techiebro wannabe, anti-feminist Silicon Valley and snowflake, self-congratulating, sickening Hollywood. Vile and putrid gathering of modern day elite society.
