    Not sure if there's enough interest here or not for a vintage machinery thread but I'll get the ball rolling and see what happens. There has been a couple of interesting barn finds in the last few weeks as people pulled out old bales to feed stock, this wasn't one of them however.

    I think vintage is anything 30 years or older, so if it's pre 1990 and you have problems getting parts etc. or just want to show what's hiding in the nettles and need to know what it is feel free to post here.

    If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

    That Stihl tractor was featured in Irish Vintage Scene magazine a few years ago. I saw it in the flesh when Jack showed it at Eyrecourt Rally the year he imported it. Petrol engine. Small enough to be called a tractor.
    I am surprised to hear of the 3 others near Carrick.

    It's actually diesel, if you look at the front of the diesel tank there is a separate tank for the lube oil, pic of the other side;

    Injector for the diesel and lube oil is half way up the head. Air cooled, single cylinder with an electric starter.
