    Hi.

I am going to construct a wooden patio cover similar to this soon.

The problem is a gas flu coming out from the wall.
Is it possible for a gas certified plumber for put a right angle upwards onto the flue so I can redirect it out of the canopy. And flash it around a perspex type roof covering?

yes its no problem you just need a plume kit you only need to extend the Flue Discharge the intake is just sucking in Fresh air so it can remain where it is all you need to do is extend the centre of the Flue using a plume kit for your boiler

Well then just extend flue up instead if there's no plume kit

You can’t do that and any condensate produced by the flue if you did would destroy the flue and or boiler.

Flues are designed to terminate in a certain manor in this case with the terminal on the outside of the brickwork inline with the wall (which the installer missed) the white part of the flue is not designed in most cases for external use, you may do what you want in terms of design on the inside as long as it meets the manufacturer given criteria but once it goes thru the wall that’s it.

Now it can be argued that if you build on to the house you can then reposition the terminal classing the extra flue as a internal installation but then you would have to fit the new flue to modern regs and that in itself opens up another can of worms which could prove costly if you can find a RGI happy to do the work as there is no provision in MI or Regs.
