    Hi,
I'm travelling to the states soon and would like to take the opportunity to bring back some bargains but not sure exactly what is worth while at the moment.

I know there have been threads that touch on this in the past, But I figure bargains change over time and I didn't see any recent discussion.

I am aware that shoes/clothes can be a lot cheaper in the states, but what else might I consider buying at a discount?

I got a HP laptop (2 in one) recently, way cheaper than local.

Yup, laptops are the major cheap item in US.

Other suggestions I've had, in case others are looking at this....

    Drones
Virtual Reality setup (although Personally I'm waiting for the next generation to come out)
Golf gear - but clubs can cost money to bring on the plane?
    hot wheels for the kids.

Even allowing for 8.875% sales tax in NYC, all Apple gear is cheaper over there. No worries about voltage, all Apple gear is multivoltage. The charger plug will have the US pins so to plug it in here or the UK, you'll need a travel adapter or this power cord ... http://www.freetv.ie/figure-8-power-cable/
