First time poster so be nice! Just going starting a self build and am pricing radon barrier ! One supplier contacted me today and he wants to put it in flat across all the build! My floor build up is 75-100mm concrete,150mm insulation150mm subfloor! Question is will it be ok to lay radon on top of subfloor , straight out into cavity and down 225 mm and out? This will leave radon 450mm below finished floor on outside, would this detail be ok?

What details has your engineer/architect/surveyor drawn up?

Arch has shown it under subfloor but this will mean stepping it around all the internal walls! As it’s a high radon level area the radon supplier is reluctant to do this! Just wanted some feed back before I contact architect!

Use a 140 high soap bar at sub floor level, which will allow the barrier to run through, and also give you a level to screed off the top of the sub floor. Work your block courses from there then.
