Hi, I’m just wondering if anyone has insurance for livestock on a rented shed with FBD?

FBD are trying to tell me that this isn’t standard cover however I’d like to know your opinion.

What do you mean by Livestock Insurance.
AFAIK FBD insure livestock on an "third party basis" in their standard policies which covers if livestock stray/break out from your farm.
Their standard policy doesn't included livestock irrespective of location.

Speak with a viva as I find them very helpful. I had to do a claim this year and no problem

Yeah but I’m wondering how many people have this on cover as they do provide it as a benefit.

Axa are launching their farm policy through selected brokers on the 16th of May and direct to the public in the summer

The will also cover livestock on any location including rented lands away from the home (theft can be included also)

Source: I'm one of the insurance brokers who has access to their product this month

Saved €200 on my farm insurance with Axa, exact same policy as I had with Aviva

Just after switching ,left Fbd last year after years of inflated premiums for Zurich ,now left Zurich for axa.all done thru broker ,they came in nearly 300 cheaper than Zurich and said I’d go to Fbd ,400 off axa .cant beat competition

Just switched from fbd to axa today. Same cover for 100 euros cheaper. Happy out

Could posters quote savings in percentage rather than euros?

€200 discount on a €20k policy is one thing where as €200 off €2k is completely different.

    Just a thought

I paid the same amount to Fbd as I paid last year with a few additions to policy. I rang axa and was told I'd get a call back which I didn't get.
