    It is possible.

It is a very bad way of going about it. Mixing that stuff in the conduit is very bad practice indeed. Running Ethernet cables ad hoc from point to point (not back to a central location is not good practice.

My suggestion would be to try these gadgets:

Thanks for the feedback. How does this gadget work please?

It sends the data over the power line, between the two sockets.

It isn’t a perfect system but it will very likely solve your problem.

I have heard that they work well.

    Same ring: Best
Same CU: Almost required (If you have a split dwelling/garage with own CU etc it may be super slow)

Older wiring and noisy devices (large hoovers, motors) can degrade them. Generally though quite good BUT inferior to ethernet. 700Mb EoP connection = 150Mb Half Duplex. Ethernet = 1000Mb Full Duplex.

If you can do it and do it correctly, ethernet is king.

One way around your problem is use fibre and a pair of converters

Or use external ethernet cable and run it down the wall outside

    OP

The way you suggested first will give best results.

Running ethernet cable down conduit beside mains cable probably won't cause any problems as it's a very short distance that they are side by side.

Ruin your cable as you suggested, pull out far enough out at the socket to allow it to reach your device. Then lightly screw your electrical socket back without pressing too hard on the ethernet cable.

Then crimp an RJ45 plug onto each end.

    Job done.

Those home plug jobs are a great piece of kit and have uses where a cable cannot be installed. They can have issues though and a cable from point to point will always be better.

Male sure your net gear extender will actually take the input cable. It may only output on that terminal.

If that is the case, go for something like a

    Tenda F300 or something
