Will take time I guess, to get used to it. Like all software version changes, you'll keep looking for stuff where it used to be before.

Not a farmer here just happened to see the thread, but I love it !
Only thing is that since location is based on internet provider I had to manually input it, this has the potential to annoy if I've to do it every time, but maybe there is a way to customise or log oneself in, haven't checked yet.

    Absolutely dreadful :(

Used to be nice and concise, all the information right there, not a lot of scrolling involved.
    Now.....yuck

The new app just doesn't work at all for me. No buttons seem to do anything.

Pure rubbish. I used to look at it every day. Type in 5 day forecast, up popped the chart. Could move it back and forward my self. Took a few seconds. New version you do the same, cannt see any chart or pictures and I don’t want to go reading an essay. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it, Should have kept it Simple !!!!

    Radar
    http://m.met.ie/weather-rainfall-radar.aspx

The poll options should be "Moo" or "Boo"

you can still access the 5 day one too but off the mobile site

It's a bit like the Agrinet grass measuring site....hope we can continue to use it and not be forced onto the new one...

And I'm not change resistant. .....usually

There's a webcam link that shows 5 location around Ireland with webcams - however only the Mallin Head one appears to be active?

I miss the map based short range and 5 day forecast.

I stand corrected. It's there only I couldn't find it. Scroll down to rainfall radar click on it and sub menu comes up. Click on rainfall forecast and a 5 day map comes up. Slider on bottom to select time.

the Irish language content is mainly English:

    Inniu

Patches of mist and fog will clear this morning and today will be mainly dry and bright, with good sunshine developing in most areas. However, a few isolated light showers may occur in parts of the west and north. There is also a slight risk of sea fog lingering along parts of the southeast coast. Maximum temperatures 13 to 17 Celsius, warmest in inland parts of the south and east. Winds mostly light, southwesterly or variable, with sea breezes developing along coasts.

    Definite no.
It’s telling location by BB supplier so apparently I’m farming in glasnevin, maybe I’m running the botanic gardens and haven’t noticed. Although I wouldn’t have expected so many rushes there.

When I search for my location the closest is 4 miles away.

Other sites automatically pick up my townland.

Don't like them symbols they use for the weather charts, its like something from the 1980s when they used boards and stickers. The 5-day chart is still there if you can find it but it looks like its going to be replaced by that new one with the symbols

Never found Met Eireann's forecasts for Donegal to be all that accurate.
I has always been a case of hit and miss - mostly miss.
Weather forecasts from other sources much more accurate.

I miss the map based short range and 5 day forecast.

For me the new site is utter bolox...new is not always better

The five day map with rainfall, wind and temperature was v.useful and easy to access

the new shiny cartoon maps which take ages to load and look like they were designed by a web designer more into his/her colour palette than functionality are about as useful tits on a bull afaic....unless I'm missing something.

    Fully agree.
I phoned them up about rainfall radar. They reduced it to 90 mins from 6 hours - which is as good as looking out the window.

Also yesterdays weather has to be scrolled down where it was on one page. They don't give locations of the stations. They should not be alphabetical order. Give county or cluster them or give provinces.

    More too. Ring them up.
