    Hi all,

Looking for advice on buying a laptop. Looking for something around €500-650 and with a 14"/15.6" screen.

I would like to get a 2 in 1 laptop. It will be used for MS Office, browsing, netflix etc.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

the dell 2-in-1 for 599 is not a bad option but for that price you only get 4gb ram

    http://www.dell.com/en-ie/shop/laptops/inspiron-13-5000-2-in-1/spd/inspiron-13-5379-2-in-1-laptop

the i5 model with 8gb ram and 256gb ssd is the better one but it's 799 at the moment

if you search the dell uk outlet for a good deal (prices ex vat quoted before checkout) you might get a refurbished one cheaper

2-in-1's command a premium - imo touch screen on a laptop not that useful unless it's something really light with fully detachable keyboard like an ms surface but that's out of your budget unless second-hand

I'd have to agree with those options. Dell has been doing hybrids for a good while now, and know what they're at. The model for 799 is worth the price bump. If you don't have the cash at the minute OP it might be worth waiting a while for a sale/discount code. Dell does them often.

that's true. but at that price level the most you'll get is 50 euro off or maybe more rarely they will do 10% off, giving you 80 off in this case.

black friday in Nov may see greater discounts but that is a long way off!

    Thanks for the help.

I'm currently using a Toshiba Satellite which I've been using for 6 years now and its starting to get slow, but still working fine for the moment.

Ya, I've been looking at Dell and also a few from HP (Pavillion x360) and Lenovo (Yoga 510), I might wait out another while and get the one for €799 when its on sale.

    Thanks again for the recommendations.
