Sorry if this is in the wrong form I didn’t know where to post.

Hi I’m just wondering how long it takes to get local authority housing on medical grounds I’m on the housing list since January 2016 and on the medicall list since April 8th.

    Thank you.

Really it’s impossible to say. It depends on what county your in, what is the nature of your Disabilty, how many others are on the medical list in front of you, how many suitable places are available ......
Have you contacted your local authority?

completely depends on where you live and what level of priority youve been given.

Basically how bad your disability/illness is. I applied for medical priority on thegrounds of a stage 2 cancer diagnoses (which has left me with long term disabilities and the inability to work at 28)

I was on the list just over a year when I applied in jan 2017 (Family had been removed from the list because we moved house and didnt change addresses about 4 years previous, completely our own fault)

I got lucky and got a house at the end of april 2017 (but we were also awarded the highest level of medical priority we were informed) , in the exact area we wanted. But we also got the last of thehouses handed out in the old system. Im not sure how the whole cbl thing works. If cbl is a thing in your area you need to be apllying for houses every week to be in with a chance.
