Thinking of replacing the double glaze panes with triple glaze however a friend suggested Grade A glass.
I am no expert on either, wondering if anyone has any experience on Grade A glass.

You can replace the glass but the thickness of the window frames will dictate the max overall thickness of the new windows and therefore the thickness of the gaps between window panes. This gap between panes will then dictate the energy rating so you may not be much better off as the gap in a triple glazed unit will be a lot less than in your double glazed units as it now has to accommodate another pane of glass.

You should probably workout the cost of triple glazing vs the amount of money you will save from the insulation.

You might find its a waste of money. Possibly you are losing more heating through the walls and floors.

Try Energlaze , its Pilkington glass with special coating, as good as triple

One of the last things to consider (not sure it's worth it anyway tbh), insulate roof, draft proof doors etc and then and insulate walls before looking for triple glazing if you think it's needed.
