Some car buying advice

A question often asked but I would really appreciate some feedback.

    Basics:
Drive a Saab 95 2.0 Sport. Love the car but too heavy on petrol.

    Requirements:
I drive 22,000-25,000 miles a year, so medium high. I enjoy all the aspects of the Saab (space, comfort etc.) but again, the petrol!

I have avoided diesel but now have to face up to it. In this country, asides from a hybrid, you have to drive diesel with my type of mileage.

    Budget: Max 5,000.
    Year: 2008+

I have narrowed it down to the Superb, Octavia and Honda Accord. All cars hold their value, particularly the Honda. I really like the Accord but they are very hard to come across.

I have this Superb saved: https://www.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/2008-skoda-superb-1-9tdi/18526135

    Thoughts?

Reliability is the most important aspect, followed closely by economy and comfort. I know something has to give given my budget so I am realistic!

    Thanks all.
