Have a forcefield B50 battery fencer here, it will turn on, lights flash but it won't give out a shock, was out in the real bad snow would this be the cause? New battery in it. Anyone any ideas what could be wrong or how to fix it. Thanks

I fixed my B50 Gallagher before, if thats the one. I opened it up and the end of the coil had corroded away from one of the solders. I had left it out for a while in the wet too. Reckon the moisture had helped corrode it. When it is working away it generates a little heat, like all electric circuits and that keeps it dry.
Anyway, I unwound one turn of the coil and resoldered it back on. That was about 3 or 4 years ago and it has been working away fine since.
