So I have downloaded some pictures to s8 from Google to then forward on to herself. However they seem to have vanished.
I have looked for solutions and seen things about .nomedia?
I have also downloaded ES file explorer but to no avail.
Does anyone have any idea where they have gone?

So the photos were originally on google photos right? Why not share directly from there?

Good point.. Hadn't thought of that.
I had wanted to send them all at once but I'm sure I could do it your way.
    Cheers.
Still would like to know where the pictures have gone..

What app/download manager did you use to download them with.

Usually they should end up in the download folder.

Also get rid of ES file explorer, it is full of adware etc.

I downloaded a few photos from Google photos a few days ago and I thought they were missing for a bit too. It had created a sub folder in the DCIM(camera) folder called restored. They didn't go to downloads.

As mentioned, the easiest way is to share directly from google photos. Open the app, long press on a photo you want to share, multi-select any others you want to share, click share button.
