    Hey all,

Not sure if anyone can help with this but we’re having a get-together in our house and borrowing a marquee to put out the back.

Some of it (about 12-18m2) will be over some freshly-laid grass so I was looking to cover that in some way to reduce any damage done.

Can anyone suggest what we could use or where we might look to find something suitable?

It’ll only be a once-off thing so I’m ideally not looking to break the bank (and the person we’re borrowing the marquee from doesn’t have anything we could use).

    Thanks

This might do the job? We have these down in the kids playroom but the other ones look smarter for an event and would cover more area.

Local flooring shop would have remnants of lino they'd be willing to sell cheap. Or buy sheets of ply/mdf or stokboard. At least you could repurposed the sheets after

Coir matting is what is traditionally used in marquees but to keep it clean people often put plastic down first and thats the last thing you want to do on any lawn.

I'd go for something breathable like an Awning Carpet.

You can hire temporary flooring. Contact a couple of the smaller marquee hire operators. Will be cheap to rent without a marquee. Lots of ads for hire outfits on Donedeal and the like.
