    folks,

I am bringing in a 94 Mazda MX5 that has non OEM wheels on it.
The VRT is already running at a heafty 34% but it has non standard aftermarket wheels on it.
Will they use this as an excuse to charge me more ?

    Thanks

Nope. They go on year and market value. Extras are only a worry on cars less than a year old.

Less than 4 years old I believe..... charge for extras dropping by quarter each year to zero at 4th year.

I cant imagine the very nice woman that works in my local VRT office having the slightest notion what should and shouldn't be on a car even new cars. She's basically a secretary that punches details into a computer and comes up with a VRT figure, she couldn't give a monkeys about the extras that are on a car as she never looks at it except to check the VIN number.
