Things to see in Illinois, Indiana and Ohio

Going to be driving from Hannibal MO to Niagara NY. It's a drive through Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and a bit of New York. It's roughly Interstate 72/74, 70/71 and 90. Does anybody have ideas what to see? Capitol of Illinois, Springfield, has some nice stuff but other than I have no idea what to see.

Long time since I drove that way but:

Cedar Point rollercoaster park in Sandusky is worth a look if you are into that sort of thing.
The Indiana Dunes national park
University of Notre Dame
