I need to treat a garden shed that we got last year, but I'm not sure what to use for it. I don't want to paint it as such, I'd prefer some sort of treatment where I can keep it close to the original colour. Would appreciate any suggestions for what to use, thanks.

You could use something like water seal which is clear if you want to maintain the natural wood look. It is really esy to apply (slap it on with a paint brush) and cheap to buy.

The problem with varnish is that it will need to be sanded and re-applied every couple of years (this was why I decided against it previously).

I know you don't want to paint it but I mix 5l masonry emulsion and 1 or 2 litre bonding.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I'll take a look into them and see which sounds the most doable. Appreciate the help.
