Welder or fabricator?

We've just had a super kingsize bed delivered to the house ready for assembling, but the [one piece] 2000mm x 1800mm frame won't fit up the stairs. It's a squared tubular 1" thick frame. I'm assuming this needs to be cut with and angle grinder and welded back upstairs.

Do I need a welder or fabricator?

    Donabate, Co. Dublin

    Thanks

I would buy two 1.8m 1" box section and cut the frame in half.

Then drill thru the frame and new box section and bolt together.

Means you can get it out again and not weld in your bedroom!

Spray the bolts black and you will hardly see them.

Go for 4mm box section, steel is cheap.
