    Hi folks,

I've been tasked with 'cutting the cable' for someone who isn't techy at all.

He was looking for an android box, but I reckon the best solution would be a combo box - freesat with pause and record for when the internet is down etc, and the benefits of iptv...

Looking at the Tiviar and Formuler, well supported on here..

I had thought the Formuler z7plus looked perfect till I copped the tuner is DVB-T2, not sat..

    So 2 questions I guess..

How steep is the learning curve with openxix/ open ata?

Is there such thing as a combo Android and Sat box of similar performance to the above 2 boxes at the £100 price point?
