Don't know what your dream is however considering you've been seen and cleared by multiple places is it perhaps an issue of worry around the testing? Perhaps talking to whoever runs that might help..

It's strange that you pass all others but not army, do you feel nervous going through the army test?. Do you do as you said and "just kept pressing/clicking" in the doc/hospital tests?

Probably is a stress thing so, ask gp for advice, taking some meditation classes or therapy etc could help, your doc would know best routes..

I've been to the doctor he said it's the army hearing test machine it wouldn't be as up to date as the hospital or audiologist

Hmm, perhaps raise this topic in the military section? It's out of the remit of this section really now but there is plenty of knowledge there. Go to Topics>Society & Culture>Military

If you keep clicking the buttons, they'll assume that you can't hear anything and are guessing, or that you have tinnitus and are hearing noise that isn't there.

What a heap of sh|te. I did a hearing test for the FCA back in 1999, and it's pretty much the same setup as every other audiologist I've been to in Dublin over the past 25 years and here in Toronto last year.

You get a headset on, they press buttons that may or may not produce sound, and you click a button when you hear a noise. If your hearing is within a certain range you pass.
