    09 Vauxhall vivario, Opel vivario

    09 Renault ?

    09 Nissan primastar

All same shape and been advised to stay away from the first 2, the vivario and Renault. But are they not all the same vans only different badges?

They are indeed badge engineered vans.

    Ms

It's Renault Traffic. Make sure you get a full service history with whichever one you go for. I would look at the VW Transporter too. A good sturdy tough van.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

Ah the "eff in Trafic" as I usually say when the thing won't start! :D

    Decent van, French electrics.

The 2 litre Trafics are a pretty good van. Have a good few customers with them, some with over 350kms and still going strong. The 2 litre is a major improvement on the 1.9 engine

I was told the Vauxhall worst, middeling is reanult and out of the 3, Nissan would be best.

    Injectors can give trouble

How would the Nissan be better than the Renault, for example?

They are all the same van built in the same factory by the same people with just different badges put on them. The person telling you one is worse than the others is talking rubbish and probably basing their opinion on brand reputation i.e. Nissan having a perceived better reputation than Renault or Vauxhall/Opel. The one with the Nissan badge doesn't suddenly become more reliable than the one with the Renault or Vauxhall badge put on it.

3 companies that trade against each other all making the same thing in the same factory?

    Yep.

Vauxhall/Opel is part of PSA in the meantime so will be moving to Peugeot clones like Toyota did when they stopped selling the Hiace. The Fiat Talento is a rebadged Trafic these days too. The Opel Combo is a Fiat Doblo, Mercedes is selling Renault Kangoos and Nissan Navaras, and Fiat are doing rebadged Mitsubishi L200 pickups. Confused? You should be :)

There is a small difference that might influence the reliability - they have been serviced by different dealer networks. Do all three have same service intervals etc.?
