    Hi Pauline,

We just need to advise that this is a query for a qualified electrician.

Then, when the property is rewired, if it is more than two years since the property was last supplied with electricity, it is necessary to contact ESB Networks with the electrician's wiring certificate, to set up connection. After this, the customer can choose their billing company (one of which is ourselves).

If it is less than two years since the property was last supplied with electricity, the customer can register directly with their choice of billing company (the wiring certificate from the electrician will be required also for reconnection).

The Boards.ie Electrical forum is a great resource for general information also - contributors there may be able to provide you with some general pointers.

    Best regards,
    Una
