Ok then. Someone asked me a while ago to recommend him a film that rotten tomatoes score was 30% or less on the RT site. I have been thinking about it for a while and while I like plenty of critical flops, none as low as that:)

So boards people can you recommend a film that is around that score on RT?:)

Not in a "its so bad you have to watch it" but something you genuinely believe is good and unfairly received.:)

In a similar vein to the above, Pandorum (2009) @29%;.
Decent cast, gritty scifi. Remember enjoying it despite not hearing much about it.

    Predator 2; sitting at a mere 28%

Very little can hold a candle to the lightning in a bottle that was 1987 Predator, but in my mind part of the insane brilliance of the sequel was that it didn't even try to ape the first film; quite the opposite, they just went for broke and full on ... I dunno, 'comicbook' is the only way to describe it. It's big loud and stupid, and kinda gloriously so.

Wtf. Didn't believe you until I checked. That's a great movie and one that even stands up to multiple viewings.

    Tideland - 30%.

I thought it was a horrible, great and in places transcendant film.

    Seems widely hated.

    Lost in Space at 27%
Le Blanc, Oldman, some other people. An absolute classic in it's genre, exploring the inherent thematic tropes of said genre. Indeed, not content with the constraints usually aligned with the genre, it strives to burst free from the aforementioned genre like a proverbial actual metaphorically literal Phoenix.

Battlefield Earth at 3%. It's in the bottom 100 of IMDB too. And yes I actually enjoyed the film and watched it multiple times. I feel like I'm the only person on the planet that feels that way.

    Wait what!

How is the beach that low :o that’s insane. Movie is faaaaar better than that.

Super Troopers at 32% is a travesty.

End of Days was slated (11%) but better than its score too imo, I remember really enjoying it but it’s been years.

I don't like Rotten Tomatoes mainly because people tend to openly bring a lot of politics into their scoring and also they work off of some weird algorithm that I'm sure I could understand but frankly I don't want to. I mean the discrepancy between critics and audience scores for some movies just baffles me. I prefer metacritic where I can get a range of scores and see how varied they are.

    I can't believe the Predator 2 score. It's a film I'd gladly watch when it's on.

From searching around the interwebs here's some I saw and I agreed with.
    • Home Alone 2: Lost in New York - 24%. C'mon it has Trump in it.
    • Bad Boys 2 - 23%. Is it perfect? No. Is it a watchable action feast that is easy to crap on because it's Michael Bay? Yes.
    • Baby's Day Out - 20%. This is a cracking slapstick comedy similar to Home Alone. With a baby. On a day out.
    • The Life of David Gale - 19%. Starring Kevin Spacey (what's he up to these days?), Laura Linney and Kate Winslet, this is a good drama with a decent twist.
    • Equilibrium - 38%. Just a little over 30% but couldn't believe this

I never understood why Predator 2 was slated so much... it is a pretty decent action film of the era.

    Empire Records, only at 26%.

An absolute 90's classic with a belter of a soundtrack and still so quotable!
