Just wondering if anybody knew the format for Interclub Competition Post Match / Dinner Speeches if at home or away?

Assuming that the home manager / team captain starts the proceedings how does it unfold and who is expected to say what and when?

    Congratulate the winners

Thank your players for coming and playing so well.

Thank your opposition for coming and playing the contest in such a sporting manner.

Thank the catering staff for the food prepared/course staff for preparation of the course.

    Safe home.

    That's it

Keep it short and sweet. Any longer than that and people are gonna get pissed off especially as half of them will be trying to finish their dessert so they can get out the door/on to pints!

And whether your the home team or away team, the format above doesn't alter

Oh and also, its just the two team managers that speak. The only possible change in that is if a club captain is present and at that point manager and captain would discuss with each other who should make the speech. But only 1 speaker from each club EVER!

Home club usually initiates unless the away fella is trying to make a burst on and jumps the gun ;)
