Taken on some new land this year, 1 particular field there is destroyed in rushes, whats the best thing to do with them from the beginning

    1. i think they are too strong to spray
    2. Lick them with the quad licker
    3. cut them with mower, bale, dump bales, slurry, spray new rushes when they appear
    4. mulch with mulcher, slurry, spray new rushes

    Any opinions greatly appreciated

    Mulching them is some job.
Then spray regrowth with mcpa at 8 weeks
    Feed the ground.

    Resolve any drainage issues.

    Spray again when needed.

I’d spray first then mulch or top them in 4-6 weeks and spray the soft regrowth in 6-8 weeks.

Noticed today that an area of rushes I licked last year is still standing. Well dead, but you'd think they would have well rotted over the winter.
