Removing your shirt

Can anyone explain to me the fascination pro players have with removing their shirts after scoring ?

It’s the one item that bonds 11 players together as a team yet it’s the first thing that is jettisoned in celebration.

The lads do this all the time and the men's game is way more popular. Coincidence?

It makes no sense, especially now when it's a mandatory yellow card. If I was a manager I'd go ape with players over that, getting needless yellow cards. Most people would say it's "passion", but I see plenty of passion in other sports and they don't take their shirts off in the same manner. It's like a bandwagon thing at this stage.

Worse when it’s a second yellow and you’re sent to the sidelines!

They're not doing in to disassociate themselves from their team mates.

It's a gay thing, it's a well known fact that all men are actually gay, the only thing that prevents this is women, if there were no women on this planet then we would all be gay.

Post 9/11 people could no longer employ the aeroplane celebration. used by such greats as Romario. Options are limited.

If I looked like CR7 I'd never have a shirt on.

If I had a shape like Ronaldo I would never be wearing a top.

One player in particular does it specifically to make sure he gets the headlines despite how rubbish he has played in the 90+ minutes beforehand.

I bet he wouldn't do it if there were no cameras in the stadium.

The reason it became a yellow card is because the sponsers didn't want their logo obscured on the close up shots of yet man doing his celebration dance.
