We are looking to build in Ennis, Co Clare and wondering where we should go with an Architect/Engineer. We don't want a majorily fancy just just a standard 4 bed house with open living kitchen, dining etc. We obviously want a nice design and also want to keep costs to a minimum. Should we go with just an Engineer or is an architect advisable?
    Any advice/recommendations would be great.

I would you suggest you need both professions. Both are experts in different aspects of the design/build stage and will probably save you money and deliver you a better house in the long term.
