Grundfos Amazon pump short cycling

We have this pump installed next to the hot water tank in the hot press upstairs. The water supply works well for the bathroom, but when we try to run the hot tap in the kitchen the pump goes into a short cycle.

We previously had problems with the pump randomly turning itself on and off when none of the taps in the house were turned on - and a plumber fitted some no-return valves, and it seemed to fix it.

Does anyone know why this short cycling problem might happen when we're running the water in the kitchen, but not in the bathroom?

Pump: Grundfos Watermill Amazon 2.0 bar twin impeller pump (STP-2.0 B)
