    As per the title
I haven't had one of those calls in years now. Nor have I heard anyone saying they have
The only thing that reminded me about them was I came across a couple of Youtube videos showing the tables being turned on the scammers and the recipient of the call ended up knackering the scammers computer system causing the Indian "Microsoft technician" to unleash a barrage of abuse
    Hilarious stuff :D
So is there anyone still getting called by these criminal masterminds?

George Agdgdgwngo from the African Republic of Agdgdgwngo apparently has gotten a new job in McDonalds and is no longer making phone calls.

OP, just send me your bank account details and sort code and I will tell you what happened to the scammers.

I got one last week and one the week before. In both cases, I asked them if they enjoy their jobs, given they are trying to rip people off. They hung up on me!!!

Loads of videos on youtube...few years old now though...where the scammers are being strung along by people who know far more about computer hacking than they ever will
A joy to see and hear these scammers getting some of their own medicine :D

Got one about a month ago, unloaded a barrage of abuse on the snippy female caller after playing along for about 5 minutes while she got more and more impatient and rude.

I questioned her mother’s parentage and she hung up unsurprisingly.

Not just a few years old, extremely recent. A guy called Kitboga streams nearly every day on twitch where he strings them along for hours on end. He uses a voice modulator to change his voice. His old lady is particularly convincing.

He's been doing it for two years now so his shtick is a bit old at this point but its interesting how angry they get. Screaming and cursing down the phone at him. They are nearly always extremely aggressive and maintain they are doing nothing wrong.....which is hilarious considering what they do.

They open a dos prompt and tell the poor shmuck they are going to "scan for viruses". Then they call up a list of all the directories on the hard drive. While this is happening, you can actually hear them slowly one finger type out "VIRUS FOUND!!!!!!" so that when the list is finished, thats the message that remains. You can see how it would fool some poor old sod.

However occassionally, and more and more in recent times, he will get a guy who will just come out and say it. "Yes, I know this is a scam. We all know it. But it pays so much better than any other job if you don't have a qualification."

Their candour is pretty interesting. However I'm not sure they will be around much longer. There is growing international pressure on the Indian goverment itself to crack down on this. It's fraud plain and simple.

Actually now you mention Kitboga I do remember seeing one of his video's on the subject
He pretended to be a 22 yo Girl and the slime ball of a scammer went and opened a folder marked "nudes" (which didn't contain nudes obviously)it was very creepy stuff

Haven't gotten any new numbers calling, as I've blocked so many but that still gives me the text message from 3 saying I've missed said call.

What a coincidence. I got a call from them yesterday while I was driving through town, kept the idiot on the phone for about 30 mins while I tried to plug in the computer, find my glasses  then missunderstood what she wanted me to type in the search box "EechoVvictorEechoNnovember... etc" "but thats what you told me to type" I said as I read it back to her :D:D .

For anyone interested in listening to people winding these scammers up something silly, search Scam Baiters on Youtoob, especially the DeeVeeAar channel.

Did it end badly for her?:D

I remember one a couple of years ago where I told them to f*** off and hung up. I was distracted and a few seconds later when the phone rang again, I picked it up without looking at it. It was the same guy. This time, he told me to do something very explicit with a bottle of baby oil and a donkey. I was so shocked, I said "I beg your pardon" so he very politely repeated it

She actually got so frustrated with my computer illiteracy that she past me on to her "Technical Support Supervisor" . That didn't go too well either, especially when I told him that I was driving, I wasn't near a computer and that I knew exactly what he was up to :D:D
