I hope this is the right forum...
I was given a non-working LCD TV recently, and fixed it with 1 diode. WHoopee, works fine. There's no remote with it. It ha a sleep timer function activated, so after a few hours it says (on-screen dialog box thing) "Turn off now? Yes/Cancel". As I have no remote I have to power-cycle it. I'm wondering if a Sky remote could access the menu to disable this function?

The TV is branded JMB, model JT012600102B, maybe about 5 years old. It has Vestel boards inside.

Anybody know if this would work?

edit: I can do some menu selection stuff from front panel touch buttons, but cant press OK
