What takes so long? Parcel from Spain.

I am waiting on a parcel to arrive from Spain, it was scanned as leaving Spain on the 3rd of April and nothing since. It was sent express. I called an post yesterday as when I mentioned it in the post office the lady said they may put another label on it but they said they have no record of it. Then another parcel sent…

I called an post yesterday as when I mentioned it in the post office the lady said they may put another label on it but they said they have no record of it. Then another parcel sent from France, it was scanned as leaving the county on Thursday but nothing since.

Where do they disappear to? Why does it take so long to get something from Spain to Ireland? There are live plants in both of packages so having them sitting around for days obviously isn't ideal. Does any know how long it usually takes to get packages from these countries?
