Hi, does anyone have any recommendations on cheap postage services ?
Im selling off my vinyl collection on discogs, and shipping costs to UK and within europe is crazy and i've being loosing sales due to quotes being too high.

For instance 10 vinyl @ 0.8 kg is 33.79euro to switzerland with TNT express (the cheapest i've found so far) standard shipping with An post ?, 40 + euro. Are these the best prices im looking at getting from ireland, or are there cheaper services i've overlooked ?

Following closely, just recently went with An Post and 12 euro registered post to the UK for something not much more thicker than an envelope and a few hundred grams. Ridiculous really, seems to be half the price in the reverse

Do the volume and you'll get the better prices - same in every business.

Tnt express are an express air courier service and don't really deal with one-off customers.

Try using a parcel delivery service

Dpd, gls, dhl standard - all offer road services and well priced if you do any type of volume.

Also, understand package sizes. An post can be good value if you get your size right.

Basically, a little research and understanding will go a long way.

Eg - an post small packet, 2kg, €13 to Switzerland.
Unless you are packing the vinyl in a overly large box, it will come in as a small packet.
