Scared while in school

Lately I’ve been absolutely terrified and on edge at all times in school because of something that went terribly wrong before easter holidays.

Myself and a few other students attended a united nations style debate a few months back and we thought it would be a good idea to try and have one in our school for the rest of the TY Students. That was all I wanted to do originally and nothing else but soon enough we all got talking again and decided maybe we could form some sort of “Activities week”. We went to the vice principal with the proposal for it and we were told that it was a great idea and would definitely be okay to go ahead. The vice principal said that they would sort it out with the principal, but they never did.

We went in anyway one day after spending our own money on prizes to do a quiz for the first, second and third years only to be tols that there was no supervisoon available for it and that we had to be in class for the day. But there was supervision. The teachers that all of the classes involved in the quiz were going to be there. We went to the vice principal and she gave hs the fo ahead so we set up etc. the quiz went well.

The last thing we wanted to do was the united narions style debate. We decided on the topic of abortion. PLEASE NOTE !!! Students were given the option of taking part or sitting out. If they found the topic triggering or upsetting they did not have to take part. Also, they were debating from the point of view of a country. Not their own views. We did not see any problems and were given the go ahead also by the vice principal for this with the topic but on the day, we got 2 TY Classes for the first debate and when the teachers in charge came up they told us they were uncomfortable with the topic and called up the vice principal. We were shut down and were not allowed continue with the other topic we had prepared. After this I backed out from anything to do with organizing any activities.

While on easter holidays we got sent an email from a girl in our year who had NOTHING to do with the organization of the debate I mentioned above. She decided to send an email to the opinion line on the radio about it WITHOUT asking us first. We were lucky that we stopped her from responding with the name of our school or else we would all be in even hotter water.

When I went back to school today I was told that everyone involved had a meeting with the principal but we were never called for it. Im honestly terrified at school at the moment over this. I have no idea what to do :(((

What are you terrified about? You tried to organise an event, for which you were given permission. There were various glitches and eventually it fell through because the staff and the vice principal were not communicating. Not sure what the business about the radio was, but again you don't appear to have been at fault.

'Everyone involved had a meeting with the principal' - who was 'everyone', why should there have been any problems?
'we were never called' - again, who is 'we'?

Why should anyone be in trouble about anything? There does not seem to be any evidence of wrong-doing, or mis-judgement on the part of any students.

I’m not sure why we would have had a meeting with the principal and “we” is everyone who was involved in organizing the debate. I’m just honestly on edge being in school at the moment. I’ve already been given out to by our TY Co-ordinator about how we can’t just come up with weeks and in assembly our year head was literally glaring at us and it was very uncomfortable.

Your TY co-ordinator needs to read up on what TY is supposed to be about.
Organising weeks on your own initiative is EXACTLY what TY is for.

You are not to blame because he/she does not communicate properly with the Principal.

Your one who rang the radio is what we in the old days used to call 'a notice box'.
You have done nothing to be stressed about, relax.
