    I see RTE 1 has a documentary 'Back To The Joy' on next Monday, it sees how the prison has changed in the 21 years since the original 4 part documentary 'The Joy' was shown, could be interesting, the original was a real insight in to how the prison functioned. Here's the original show...

    anyone watch this? - bits of it were very tough, especially the catch up with Gwen, who seemed to have aged 50 years in the intervening period (having spent most of the time in the Dundrum Mental Hospital).

    Despite the prison being much cleaner and seemingly less chaotic now, there was a still a sense of futility about it, with the same drug addicts coming and going repeatedly until they eventually overdose (as had happened to a number of the interviewees from 1997) :(

    Just got around to watching this today, yes Gwen really aged and mentally seemed to have deteriorated.

    The fashion of the 90's was gas :D

    Yeah. Gwen really aged. Back in original, she was kind of a good looking little thing, nice face. But jaysus, now she is in a very bad state.

    First one aired on Monday 16th April. Can’t see anything for Monday the 23rd up on RTE player - only has the 16th. Any ideas?
