    Hi

    Recently moved into house.
There is a cable connecting the house to garage to provide electricity , but cables is just lying on ground visible. I'd like to bury it .

Similarly id like to extend the water connection at house cable end to the she'd as it's just thrown in middle of driveway.

Also would like to route network cables to the garage and main gate which is approx 50metres away in conjunction with also running cables to gate for Automation

So in short I need to route multiple cables around driveway. The driveway is quite rocky with clay and then stones thrown over it.

I was wondering how would I go about this .

I could rent a trenching tool I suppose.
I'd prefer to get it done my professional though as I don't want to dig around driveway and cause issue with ground or drainage or hit something while digging.

Is there people who offer this type of service.
    I'm based in Cork.

    Thanks

You can buy a trenching shovel in a good builders providers. It ihas a long handle and it's only about 100 mm wide. Is quite easy to dig a narrow but deep trench with one of these. Best of luck.

Thanks, but I would need to dig a 50 metre trench In a few directions. With a trenching shovel I think it would take forever with the ground. Is there any machines that do this or companies that will come in and lay cable

Rent a mini digger with a narrow bucket and make sure there are no existing services along the route

If you're contemplating doing it by hand I'd strongly recommend getting a pickax as well. (should also make it go a lot quicker)

Also you'll want some ducting (if that's the right term?) cause certainly regular network cable wouldn't do well underground (should get armored cable either way if it's outside really)
