Student Leap Card negative balance

With a normal Adult Leap Card, as long as you have a balance of at least 1c, you can still make one more journey and go into a negative balance. However, with an Adult Leap Card, you have paid a €5 fully-refundable deposit which covers this negative balance.

With a Student Leap Card, you have paid a €7/€10 non-refundable fee, not a deposit. Does this mean you can't enter a negative balance at all, or is it still possible?

Does the negative balance apply to Bus Éireann and other operators, or is it just for Luas/Commuter Rail/Dublin Bus? Is there a limit of the deposit you've paid, or is it just limited to one journey regardless of cost?

All leap cards act the same. 1c credit and it'll work.

Does this apply on all services (namely Bus Eireann) that use travel credit, or just Dublin Bus/Irish Rail/Luas?

Is the negative balance just limited by number of journeys (1), or is there also a limit on how much the negative balance can be, as some Bus Eireann leap fares can be over €10?

You can't make any negative balance journeys unless you have reached your daily/weekly cap on that particular mode.
