    That's very little difference for a year on a 40k car when new.
    Of course the 08 will be dearer. The 09 will generally be dearer again.

    You are correct though, but your example is not representative really. Some much bigger gaps than that

    To be fair it’s 40% dearer for only one year. It’s not just the €124 a year, it’s the fear that however cheap the 07 is now, nobody will want it in a few years when pre 08 cars will be the exception.
