Applied for Corrib but found out I didn’t get in today. I’d let to stay somewhere safe, where I’ll be around other 1st years. I don’t know anyone up in Galway, so I want to try and make friends with people I live near, seeing as Corrib isn’t an option.

Cúirt na Coiribe is all that's left now.

Could also be worth applying for the Dunaras waiting list, a lot of first years there and a good number of places become available during the first few weeks of college with people dropping out etc. don't be afraid to give them a few phonecalls during the first few weeks of college to see have they space.

It could also be worth looking into digs where there's a good few first years together. I wouldn't recommend a digs where you're the only student there, or maybe yourself and one other, but I think there's a few setups where there's 5 or 6 first years together.
