Trinitron, when TV's were TV's, some outlived the people that bought them. I've never heard a bad word said about them.

    I know!
But, never mind the size of the screen, those things are deep, the tube goes right back.
    I've the best of the 4:3, a 29" Trini and it's huge.
I could only imagine this is huger-er than that again!

Pfttt, what about your poor 16:9 games, It’s actually not that deep

    Nooo!
    I want it....

    But I don't want it...

    But I want it!

I'm gazing out of my office window, across Portrane towards Rush and thinking of the big telly only minutes away....

    Hey!
This is the A&R (not E) forum!
    None of this non-16:9 talk!

Sitting there all lonely unused in the shedcade, could end up in the recycling centre soon if it’s not claimed

Right... don't dump it just yet....

I'm going to have to plan it's arrival... D.I.V.O.R.C.E. is assured if I rock home with it...

Mrs Ciderman does not take kindly to such things coming in the front door.
Better to sneak it in, get installed, wait for a layer of dust to accrue and then claim it's there ages!

    That was my plan too

My dad always adopted that strategy with much success.

Widescreen CRT's certainly the go to screen format for GC, PS2 and XBox era if you're into that.

    I'm still working on it....

My spouse must know something is afoot...
My every move is being watched, monitored and logged....
And not in a sexy way either....

I offer some temp storage for the TV should you want to stash it for awhile

My 29" Sony Trini has been in my life since 1996!
    That's 22 years!
    And it's still going strong!
Okay, so a hint of Triggers Sweeping Brush here, it does have a replacement remote!
And, I've only been using it intermittently since 2005, but it is still a cracking tv and still compares well to my PVM and Ikegami, and miles ahead of any LCD panel for retro games.

mine has been used heavily since 2000, obviously designed and built using military spec

Anyone before it goes to the scrap heap?
Photos here, it’s actually pretty neat for a 32” CRT
