Inheritance query

My parents are approaching 90 and are sadly declining in health.

One will die first and the other will then inherit everything. Upon the death of the last of my parents, they have told us "kids" that their Will states to split their assets evenly across all us "kids".

However one of the "kids" has been living in the family home for 10 years while he has remained unemployed (or at best under-employed).

Will that sibling have a legal right to remain in the house forever?
If yes, does that mean the even-splitting of assets will only be confined to the non-home assets?
Would he also be allowed to rent out the house (entirely) and live elsewhere while still keeping it all?

Or does the law say the house must be either:
    a. sold (and the proceeds divided out evenly as with all other assets)
    b. valued and all siblings be given the option to buy the others out of their share

    Appreciate any thoughts.
