    Hi,
Looking for info on quarries in the limerick region selling black limestone gravel chips for a driveway. Preferably 16 or 18 mm and in the region of 30-40 tonnes.

Also what are people's thoughts on using the rough edged gravel chip versus the round sea pebble. Which binds better?

    Thanks

I was advised to get chipped stone as round pebbles will be soft underfoot and never actually bind. I got 20mm chippings off Keegan quarrys in Meath for 18 euro a tonne delivered. I had to spread it myself but looks great

I rang them and they quoted €13 per ton, but they will only deliver a full load of 23 tonnes!
We only need 6 tons and other suppliers are quoting €80 per ton for 20mm crushed mint pebble dashing.
How would their 20mm washed pebble aggregate work for a driveway on top of compacted 804?
