Hi looking for some advice/experience from others. Renovating a house at the minute also have a 50sqm extension to the rear built. We were thinking of gas heating but heard it can be very expensive we are not connected to a mains gas line also. Previous to this the house was solid fuel heating with back boiler. And advice greatly appreciated ðŸ‘

"Price per unit does not include standing charge". Referenced from the Bulk gas price on the SEAI comparison site.

    Running costs :
Nat gas No 1 (just about)
    Kerosene a very close second
Bottle / tank gas a very far down third
Electricity only comes fourth as there's no fifth in a billing fuel.

With Russia at the moment and us having no facilities in the country currently to handle LPG ships I'd go with oil.

I wonder what the LPG Ships are doing when docked in Cork then ?

    Heat pump is the cheapest

Certainly when renovating if you can achieve the correct insulation and air tightness an air to water heat pump would be the way to go (now with a €3500 grant since this month!)

Another consideration would be Grants new hybrid, combined oil boiler and heat pump.
