    Hello fellow lawyers of Boards.ie
I run an website where I share honest reviews on investment newsletters. I gave someone a negative review and now this guy from the US is threatening to sue me. Is it possible for me to get sued in US courts?

Irish lawyers tend not to be qualified or insured to answer questions relating to legal issues outside of Irish jurisdiction but that doesn't stop such lawyers from getting sued if they give negligent advice.

This site does not allow legal advice, which is what you request here.

To put matters in an Irish context, it is generally the case that any party can bring proceedings and name whoever they want as a defendant/respondent in such proceedings.

In any event, this thread is now closed for the reason outlined above.
