Audi Recall notification

    Just logged into the myAudi web portal and got notification that vehicle is affected by "A-Replacing heater element 80c5".
    has something to do with aux heater (which I did not think I had) - did anyone else get this? car was bought in UK so not sure if the dealers here will honour it without some hassle. also car was in for major service in Feb and nothing was mentioned about it but my research suggests the campaign has been running for a good while now. anyone have any info?
    car is Audi A4 2.0 TDI 2015 automatic

    I was following it on the UK forums before xmas. Apparently it involves removal of the dash, anythine I have come across a car with the dash removed it was rattle city.

    yeah - kind of afraid of that now to be honest. caught between a rock and a hard place! ever experience an Audi dash rattle after removed / replaced by Audi dealer?

    No i haven't. All I know is that if you go into the MMI under car and the AC you will see an option to turn the Auxiliary heater off.

    I think its just to help heat diesels in cold weather.
