Confused by Names & Specs when looking at cars...?

Hopefully someone here can help me out.

I've been looking at 7-seater Nissan X-Trails online. There's a variance in pricing, which partly must be down to the spec of the car.

The problem I'm having is that the description or name of the car that's used doesn't necessarily match the specs listed by Nissan.

For Example - Nissan have the following listed on their website:
    1. X-Trail XE
    2. X-Trail SV
    3. X-Trail SVE

I'm assuming from the pricing on brand new ones that XE is the base model, SV is middle and SVE is top spec...?

But on Carzone I'm looking at one which is listed as: X-TRAIL ACENTA DCI.

Others are listed with an extra name such as: SV DESIGN PK DCI

Can anyone guide me through the variations please?

I think Acenta and Tekna are UK spec levels. Nissan.co.uk will probably give you more details.

“Design Pk” is probably Design Pack, which adds a couple of features to an XE or SV model

The manufacturer website is probably the best place to start to see the differences.

    1. XE - entry level Irish model
    2. SV - Middle of the range Irish model
    3. SVE - Top of the range Irish model.

    1. and 2. also came with Design and Technology options packs which tended to be standard on the SVE.

ACENTA, N-TEC and TEKNA would be the UK spec equivalent of the Irish XE, SV and SVE.

Looks like a nice motor. Would there be much savings by going up north to buy ?
